The process involves the use of a Hydraulic Power Pack along with a laptop recorder linked to an electronic device, that converts energy from one form to another, that applies force to the valve spindle. The set pressure is tuned taking cognizance of the recorded data, valve seat area, and line pressure.
As a crucial link in the safety chain, safety valves need frequent testing to ensure they function properly. The safety valve performs the responsibility of protecting the processes, people, and properties from overpressure conditions.
